Definitions

Radiology

A branch of medicine that uses imaging technology to diagnose and treat disease

Medical Imaging

Several different technologies that are used to view the human body in order to diagnose, monitor, or treat medical conditions

Radiography

The process of taking radiographs, pictures, within radiology

X-ray Radiography

Ionising imaging modality using X-ray radiation to produce mages of the body’s internal structures.

Computer Tomography (CT)

Ultrasound

An imaging modality that uses high-energy sound waves to look at tissues and organs inside the body.
